This build is not notarized/signed by Apple. On first launch, right-click the app and choose Open, or allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security. See the build guide included with the source for how to sign and notarize it yourself.
What it does
- Lives quietly in the menu bar — no dock icon, no windows unless you open them
- Continuously analyzes microphone input for the 18.5–19.9 kHz beacon band
- Sends a macOS notification with the decoded text the moment a beacon is heard
- Keeps a full local log of every beacon detected, with timestamps
- One click to quit from the menu bar — nothing runs when you're not using it
Requirements
macOS 13 Ventura or later. Works on Apple Silicon and Intel.
Building it yourself from source
The full Xcode project and a one-command DMG build script are included in the source bundle. See BUILD.md for step-by-step instructions, including code signing and notarization for wider distribution.
